Medkoder Account Executive Opportunity

Job Summary:

The Account Executive will execute sales strategy in order to introduce Medkoder services and technology to help our current and future clients exceed their goals with Medkoder's high caliber talent and industry leading technology. The main duties of the position are to develop new business accounts within markets that have alignment with the sales goals of the company; and leverage existing relationships within the industry to expand visibility of company’s service offerings.

Essential Functions:

  • Builds industry relationships.
  • Sells MedKoder services and technology directly to hospitals, health plans, and physician practices by identifying prospect accounts and cold-calling management, director, and C-Suite level executives.
  • Maintains regular contact with current customer base and follows up with prospective clientele.
  • Negotiates and closes contracts, and provides excellent customer service to clients.
  • Maintains and expands their industry and product knowledge to be relevant and beneficial to our clients and prospects.
  • Meets and exceeds assigned revenue and target metric objectives.
  • Schedules and conducts sales calls, presentations, demonstrations, and proof of concepts. This involves applying a consultative approach and ability to analyze the customer’s business and technology requirements and developing customized solutions to fit the need.
  • Prepares accurate and timely sales reports.
  • Protects and increases a profitable revenue stream within current accounts. Seeks out expansion opportunities to further penetrate accounts.
  • Maintains positive customer relations with professional and ethical standards of excellence.
  • Maintains a commitment to the company’s sales processes, values and business code of ethics.
  • Conducts company business upholding MedKoder’s core and team values. 
  • References company policies; federal, state, and local laws; and industry resources to properly perform job duties.
  • Operates a personal computer (desktop or laptop) to access proper technology to complete job responsibilities. Includes the use of internet, Microsoft Office suite, proprietary software, etc.
  • Communicates effectively both in verbal and written communication formats to convey messages and thoughts accurately and effectively.
  • Frequent contact with internal and external customers requires giving and receiving feedback, recognizing and acting on customer needs, building rapport and gaining closure. 

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Position requires proficient and demonstrable experience in prospecting, qualifying, cold calling, experienced in objection handling and negotiating. Working knowledge of federal, state, and local laws with regards to privacy and industry practice is required. Position requires ability to utilize technology hardware (such as a computer, etc.) and software (such as MS Office suite, sales software, etc.) to perform job functions; ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally. Strong organizational, interpersonal, listening, and organizational skills are required. The position also requires the ability to multi-task, work remotely and develop strong professional relationships.
