The Recruiter will partner with Business Development to anticipate and meet the evolving needs of the company and to deliver the best medical coding talent to the organization. The position will nurture relationships with prospective talent and manage on-going manager relationships. This is a FT position working on-site in Mandeville, LA.  

Essential Functions:

  • Create a recruiting and interviewing plan for open positions primarily under the Coding business line in order to efficiently and effectively fill open positions
  • Responsible for developing contacts and applicant sources, mine databases, direct source, and take other measures as necessary to develop applicant pools for assigned positions
  • Through an in-depth review, become knowledgeable about relevant job descriptions pertaining to open requisitions, as well as organizational compensation structure and philosophy
  • Through ongoing support of human resources screening, interviewing and background check processes; the Recruiter will participate in safeguarding the organization to ensure compliance with internal policies as well as federal and state laws regarding employment practices
  • Pre-screen all resumes for qualifications prior to submitting them to the hiring manager
  • Analyze the information provided on a prospective candidate’s application and conduct a personal interview
  • Schedule interviews for the managers with prospective candidates according to mutual availability
  • Develop a pool of qualified candidates for current requisitions and in anticipation of future needs
  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting
  • Build networks to find qualified passive candidates through use of social media and professional sites, with heavy emphasis on LinkedIn
  • Post openings on a variety of online job boards, with professional organizations, and in other position appropriate venues

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; recruitment related certification a plus
  • Minimum of 3 years professional full life cycle recruitment experience for various corporate business functions
  • Proficient use of ATS, in addition to proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and LinkedIn
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • This position requires an extremely perceptive person who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels. The applicant must be sensitive to corporate needs, employee goodwill, and the public image
  • Position requires strong organizational skills, ability to work independently in a multi-task environment, effective written and verbal communication skills, excellent decision making and problem solving skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Self-motivated and flexible; ability to work with minimal supervision
